Remote Data Backups
Remote Data Backups

If you do nothing else, we implore you to make frequent backups of your corporate data, and keep a copy of the data backup media off-site. That way, if a catastrophic event occurs (such as a fire, flood, earthquake, etc.), you can at the very least replace the damaged hardware and restore your corporate data, and be back in business in the amount of time it takes to recover.

Without availability to your corporate data, all the replaced hardware is reduced to fancy high-tech door stops or paper weights. The hardware is not the most valuable part of your corporate infrastructure; your corporate data is. The hardware is merely a place to store your company's data.

Many businesses back up their data to tape drives, but fail to store copies off-site. Others will store back up tapes off-site, but fail to store them in an environmentally-controlled area (for example, tape media can melt if stored in warm environments - such as the back seat of a car). Also, tape media has limited shelf life, and because of its sequential nature, it could take a long time to restore the data you need to recover.

With our Remote Data Backup Service, we copy your corporate data over the Internet to one of the many backup servers located in our Data Center. Lost files or data can be restored in a matter of minutes, and, should the need arise, your business can be operational again in a matter of hours if a catastrophic event destroys your office(s) by using our Disaster Recovery Services.
